“And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20)
Today, Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The question we must ask ourselves is: Do we truly live as if Jesus Christ is alive?
After His resurrection, Jesus commanded His disciples to go into all nations to make disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything He had commanded them. He also gave them this promise: He would be with them every day, to the very end of the age. (Matthew 28:19–20)
On this day, as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, if we believe that He is truly risen, that He lives forever, and that we place our trust in Him, it is essential to ask ourselves important questions and reflect deeply on our answers:
If we believe that Jesus Christ is alive, do we live to please Him?
The Bible says: “And He died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for Him who died for them and was raised again.” (2 Corinthians 5:15)
If we believe that Jesus Christ is alive, why do we worry?
He said: “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” (Matthew 6:34)
If we believe that Jesus Christ is alive, why do we live in fear?
He promises: “I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20)
If we believe that Jesus Christ is alive, as Christians, do we faithfully reflect His character and represent Him worthily on this earth?
“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)
“Conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ.” (Philippians 1:27)
If we believe that Jesus Christ is alive, do we believe in His return and are we ready?
He said: “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” (John 14:3)
On this resurrection day, let us take time to examine ourselves deeply. Many questions may arise: Does our life truly testify that Jesus Christ is alive? Can we, like the apostle Paul, confidently affirm our faith and commitment to Him?
“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20)
Today, God calls us to a living faith—a faith that sees the invisible, a faith that walks with a living Savior. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
May the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ be a time of renewal, peace, and deep joy in the Lord.
Happy Resurrection Day to all! May God bless you abundantly.
